On target - The success and use of tailoring in targeted campaign messages.
Supervised by Prof. Thomas M. Meyer, PhD and Prof. Heike Klüver, PhD
In my dissertation, I study how tailoring and targeting drive the success and efficiency of campaign messages of political parties and how and on which issues parties use tailoring and targeting as campaign strategies in multi-party democracies in Europe. I use both observational and experimental quantitative methods, by conducting a factorial survey experiment and a manual content analysis of the Meta Ad Targeting dataset.
